Putting powerful web building toolkits in the hands of the ETUG community

A few examples from Trubox and the BC OpenETC :

Sharing the OpenETC toolkit

The OpenETC community works together to make web resource building faster, more effective, and more accessible.

  • Sharing and building on each other’s work, economies of scale for themes, plugins, custom development.
  • Cloning websites allows for much more rapid and effective development, and the creation of structured “starter sites” for generic or specific uses.
  • Form-based authoring (SPLOT shout-out) allows for simpler, account free processes. This lightens the training and support requirements and does not require the user’s personal information.

The ongoing evolution of WordPress (Gutenberg blocks, Full Site Editing (FSE) themes has us rebuilding the toolkit to make these new features more accessible, and to make them useful to the OpenETC community.
